My church photography method and style is to make it as convenient as possible for the member/family.In planning for the shoot, I will have chosen a convenient but beautiful spot on the grounds of the church, or a porch for the setting. I only take one minute to pose the member/family, shoot two or three images, and they are finished! No selling, no waiting, no school nights.
ORGANIZING THE DIRECTORY SHOOTS
1. Set two or three Sundays that fall within a period of 3-5 weeks for the directory shoots.
2. Announce them several times in the bulletin, the newsletter, on the church website, and any other communications piece.
3. Offer a way to sign up online (Blue Room can help with this, if needed), and also accept phone calls.
4. Appointments are listed at five minute intervals.
4. On the day of the shoots, a volunteer or church administrator will check people off the list as they come for their designated time. This is also a good time to verify their address and email information is still up to date!
PLUS each family receives a 5 X 7 print of their photo as a gift from Blue Room Photography!
