Meet Cindy
Cindy brings a storyteller’s eye to every assignment. Her career began in broadcast news and grew through work for multiple newspapers and magazines, where she learned to find the real moment fast, under deadline, in any light. That same newsroom instinct now shapes everything she creates for her clients.
She holds a BA in Communications from the University of Alabama and a Certificate in Photography from the University of South Alabama.

Cindy’s work spans architecture, children’s and family portraits, product photography, and real estate. Whether it’s the clean lines of a building, the personality of a product, or a toddler who won’t sit still, she approaches each subject with the same care and patience.

She has been there
Before she was behind the camera, Cindy spent years in front of it as a news reporter and film model. She knows exactly what it feels like to be photographed: the nerves, the stiffness, the worry about your “good side.” That experience is her secret weapon. She knows how to put people at ease and how to help anyone look like themselves on their very best day.

Photojournalistic realism
Cindy’s signature editing style is photojournalistic realism: honest, natural images with rich color and a touch of glamour. Looking for something different? On request, the studio also offers edgy black and white, vintage retro, and light and airy editing.
Why “Blue Room”?
The day Cindy’s first professional-level camera arrived, she took it straight out for a walk around the neighborhood, testing the new lens and getting a feel for what it could do. When she came back toward the house, one window stood out.
Every other window glowed a warm, familiar gold, but the bedroom where she does her editing shone a cool blue from the LED lamp left on inside. It looked so different from the rest that she named her business right then: Blue Room Photography.
